Technical Support & Applications Engineer
OMICRON is an international company serving the electrical power industry with innovative testing and diagnostic solutions. The application of OMICRON products provides users with the highest level of confidence in the condition assessment of primary and secondary equipment on their systems. With our OMICRON-office in Bahrain we focus on all on sales and marketing activities in the Middle East region.
Tasks
Technical support for all the Middle East markets with some work for the EMEA region as required, including
- Delivering training to customers
- Providing technical presentations
- Giving demonstrations
- Customer hotline, training and exhibitions
- Review of technical documents (user manuals, online help, marketing support etc.)
- Occasional on-site commissioning tasks
- Technical interface between other OMICRON offices
Profile
- Electrical engineer with good software knowledge and experience
- Electrical engineering:
- General knowledge of power systems (generation, transmission and distribution of electricity), especially in the fields of power system protection and network equipment
- Knowledge of testing power system equipment (ideally with OMICRON products) would be appreciated
- Good presentation skills
- Ability to work independently but also as a part of an international team
- Capable of creative, innovative thinking
- Readiness to travel (up to 60 % of time) throughout the Middle East
- High level of written and spoken English
- Sociable and outgoing
- Enjoy working in a small team environment
