Sampled Values Configuration Module

Sampled Values Configuration Module

The Sampled Values Configuration module is used to set up the CMC test set for the generation of IEC 61850 Sampled Values. Depending on the test set model up to three Sampled Values streams can be generated simultaneously. This optimally supports testing applications which require more than one Sampled Values stream, such as synchro-check or differential protection.

CMC test sets with IEC 61850 functionality generate Sampled Values in accordance with the implementation guideline of the UCA International Users Group. The generated Sampled Values correspond to the analog voltages and currents generated by the test set. As the analog values are still available, hybrid applications are also supported.

Key features
  • Compatible with all protection related modules of the Test Universe software
  • Up to three Sampled Values streams can be generated at the same time
  • Sampled Values comply with the implementation guideline of UCA International Users Group
  • Supports hybrid applications
  • Import of parameters from SCL configuration files
Applications

The Sampled Values functions can be used with the CMC 850, CMC 356, the CMC 353, the CMC 256plus, and the CMC 256-6 with NET-1 option.

IEC 61850 Package

Since the different IEC 61850 testing tasks are typically performed together, OMICRON has bundled its commonly used tools in one package. It consists of IEDScout and the CMC configuration modules for GOOSE and Sampled Values.
