The CP RC package consists of the CP TR8 isolation transformer and the compensation reactors CP CR4 and CR6. With the CP RC package connected to a so-called "Power VT", which is part of the gas insulated switchgear (GIS) a resonance circuit is realized. The CPC 100 supplies the required energy and acts as a measuring and controlling device.
This solution allows voltage withstand testing with a max. test voltage of 200 kV for GIS rated up to 123 kV. The light-weight units are portable by one person.
