DRYMON

OMICRON's DRYmon is the world's first measuring device for monitoring the drying process of transformers using dielectric response (= tan-delta measurement over a wide frequency range). DRYmon is capable of determining the water content in cellulosic insulation before and after oil-impregnation.

DRYmon provides users with real-time information on the insulation's water content during the actual drying process.
This allows the time required for the drying process to be optimized during manufacture, as well as after maintenance or repair work.

Key features
  • Real-time information on the insulation's water content during the actual drying process
  • Consistent and constant degree of drying regardless of climate conditions and size of the insulation
  • Optimization of the drying time for faster drying processes and faster production cycles
  • Permanent and detailed documentation of the drying state through predefined protocols
Applications
  • During the manufacturing process of a transformer
  • After maintenance or repair work
