SEM 1 contains the OSH 256 passive optical scanning head to detect the status of optical pulse LEDs of electronic energy meters.

This lightweight scanning head can be attached to smooth surfaces by means of its suction cup or by a re-usable adhesive rubber compound in case of a non-planar surface. The adhesive rubber compound additionally screens the sensor from ambient light.

An adapter cable for direct connection to the external interface (EXIF) connector on the rear of a CMC 256, CMC 356 or CMC 353 is included in delivery.

SEM 2 contains the photoelectric scanning head TK 326 which is suitable for scanning of all known rotor marks of Ferraris meters and for scanning of optical pulse outputs of electronic meters up to the infrared wavelength range. 

An adapter cable for direct connection to the external interface (EXIF) connector on the rear of a CMC 256, CMC 356, or CMC 353 is included in delivery.

SEM 3 contains the photoelectric scanning head SH 2015 to detect pulses from electronic meters. This scanning head provides a ring magnet to attach the unit to solid-sate meters.

An adapter cable for direct connection to the external interface (EXIF) connector on the rear of a CMC 256, CMC 356, or CMC 353 is included in delivery.

The CMLIB B interface box provides additional connection terminals to support advanced test setups. It is used for tests with reference meters which require two pulse inputs and to access the binary transistor outputs the CMC test set. In addition, it is needed for using the above scanning heads in conjunction with a CMC 156 EP.

 CMLIB B provides the following connection terminals:

• 16-pin LEMO socket to connect CMLIB B to the external interface (EXIF) socket of a CMC test set
• One 2-pin socket for connecting the power supply
• Two 5-pin-LEMO sockets to connect to a scanning head (OSH 256, TK 326, or SH 2015) and/or reference meter
• Five banana sockets (1-4 plus N) providing access to the transistor outputs of a CMC test set
• Two banana sockets (fin, fref) for connecting pulses from a meter under test and/or a reference meter to a CMC test set (as an alternative to the 5-pin LEMO sockets)
