In substation, automation, and protection systems, IEC 61850 communication is becoming ever more widely used. Ever since the standard was introduced, OMICRON has been at the forefront in providing the means for testing equipment using this technology. Ethernet, the platform of the IEC 61850 communication architecture, is also the standard interface of the OMICRON CMC test sets.
